Mushroom Networks Inc. announced Thursday that it has updated its "broadband bonding"  technology to support real-time and cloud-based applications.

By combining up to a dozen Internet lines together, broadband bonding increases bandwidth at a low cost to improve WAN performance. The solution is ideal for businesses using cloud-based services that are experiencing problems with non real-time traffic grabbing too much bandwidth.

“Many of our clients require WAN technology that provides very low latency between their office and data center," said Dr. Cahit Akin, co-founder and CEO of Mushroom Networks. "Broadband bonding gives them a stable platform for sending real-time applications, such as VoIP or so-called 'chatty' cloud applications, through a bonded IP tunnel."

Mushroom Networks’ line of products include its flagship Truffle, which combines up to 12 wired broadband connections plus two USB cellular cards; PortaBella, which combines USB 3G or 4G cellular cards for applications such as traveling sales, temporary offices, transportation and remote locations; and TelePorter, a wireless 3G or 4G bonding solution for transmitting live high-quality broadcasts from the field.

Mushroom Networks products are available for resale through its Gold VAR partner program. Currently Mushroom Networks has reseller partners in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
